Calculate
the number of tiles you need for
your next project
You will first need to know
what area that you would
like to tile. If you
are tiling a floor, you need
to measure the length and
the width. Multiply the
length by the width and this
will give you the square
metres required. If
you are tiling a wall, you
need to measure the length
and the height of the area.
Multiply the length by the
height and this will give
you the square metres
required.
We recommend that for both
the floor and/or wall total
square metres; always add
10% extra to allow for
cutting and wastage. After
tiling, some tiles should be
saved for any future
repairs.

How do I
care for my tiles?
Most tiles are basically low
maintenance, but some rules
need to be followed.
Bathroom, kitchen and
laundry tiles need only be
cleaned with a mild
detergent or household
cleaner. There are really
only two rules to follow.
Don't use an abrasive
cleaner such as a powder or
gritty cream. These will
cause minute scratches in
the surface and make the
tiles harder to clean the
next time. Clean tiles
regularly so dirt doesn't
build up and wash you tiles
regularly using hot clean
water and a little neutral
(not acidic or alkaline)
soapless household cleaner.

Is
there a weight limit for
tiling walls?
Increasingly, floor tiles
are being applied to walls
and this is no problem so
long as the walls are strong
enough to support their
weight and proper ceramic
tile installation methods
are used. However, it is not
usual to recommend using
wall tiles in floor
applications. Find out
the weight limit of
different wall products.
